Rosemore just beat up the Lions on the boards getting tons of second chance points. Rosemore had a good 8 point lead at half. The game was played quick again in the second half with more high scoring and the Lancers held on tight and wouldnt let go of their 4 point lead which ended as the final.

Next was the Panters traveling to Bexley. Just like their first match up this year it was fought hard all the way to the end with black eyes being handed out by both teams. it was tied and half and Lions had the lead by 2 going into the 4th. The 4th was neck in neck all the way down to the last shot. Lions up by 1 had to buckle down and play D for 1.7 seconds. Valley inbounded it and got a wide open look in the corner for 3 as time expired but it rimmed out. Great win for the Lions. Always got to play till the end.

Columbus Acamedy vs. Bexley

Our rivals Columbus Acamedy hosted us Lions. The game was a hard fought game which came down to the very end. The game went into 2 overtimes and was nerve racking thoughout the whole game. In the second over time with 5 seconds left Josh Hoffman hit a three pointer to cut the Vikings lead to 1. With seconds ticking down in second overtime Elliot Predmore tipped a ball near half court and I Will Gingery saw the ball grabbed it and heaved up a shot near half court for the game winner. The whole team was credited for the great win and credit Josh with the big 3 and Elliot with the big steal as time expired. As a team we played great.

Lions/Bulldogs showdown

Yesterday, Monday January 13th -- I Will Gingery and my 8th grade basketball team the Bexley Lions played an away game at Heath Middle School.

We lost the game 35-42. It was a hard fought battle in the second half when it was crunch time but we just couldn't pull it together when it was necessary.
